On 28 March 2025, five students from HA’s 5th cohort, namely Charis, Cathy, Charmaine, Helen, and Wilson, took part in a meaningful community engagement event co-organised by HSUHK’s Institute of Knowledge Exchange (IKE) and Sun Life Hong Kong. The “Retirement Financial Education Workshop – Anti-Scam Sharing Session” was held at HSUHK, bringing together nearly 80 public members to raise awareness of financial safety and online scams.
The highlight of the afternoon was a board game session featuring “One Day Adventure with Grandparents Chin” (錢爺爺與錢嫲嫲的一天), Hong Kong’s first-ever anti-financial-scam education board game designed specifically for seniors. HA students, alongside RC leaders from Student Affairs Office (SAO), served as facilitators, guiding participants through the game, encouraging conversation, and ensuring a welcoming, engaging experience.
Our HA student leaders’ thoughtful presence and clear communication helped bridge generations, turning a complex topic into something accessible and empowering. The event also offered valuable insight into HA’s ongoing Community Engagement Board Game Project.
HA is proud of our students for stepping up with care and confidence — and for contributing to a safer, more informed community through creative engagement.
