HA in the Spotlight: Abi and Daisy MC a Landmark CIE Event with 100+ Guests

On 24 February 2026, two Honours Academy (HA) 4th cohort students, Abi and Daisy, brought their best public-speaking skills, and an even bigger giving heart, to the stage as Masters of Ceremony (MCs) for a major public-facing event.

Hosted by The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK)’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), the Launch Ceremony of the GBA Youth Start-up and Social Innovation Programme gathered a wide community of supporters, including government representatives, University leadership, youth development stakeholders, and an active network of industry and academic partners, from mentors and judges to students, alumni entrepreneurs, and guests. With over 100 audience members in attendance, the event marked a significant milestone as 13 selected teams officially began a three-year incubation journey, taking campus-born ideas toward real-world validation and growth across the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

In a high-profile room like this, the two HA future leaders set the rhythm, connect each segment, and make every guest feel recognised. By stepping up in service of the University and the wider community, Abi and Daisy also elevated the visibility of HA students, showing how HA talent can contribute professionally to major institutional milestones. Their MC role was a simple but powerful message: when you lead with heart, your voice can create impact far beyond the microphone.
