HA Student-Led Workshop – Build Your Own Website with AI in Just 1 Hour

On 10 June 2025, the Honours Academy (HA) proudly hosted its first-ever HA Student-led Workshop open to the entire HSUHK community — and it was a full house! Led by HA third-cohort member (Year 4, DSBI) Aaron Sin, “Build Your Own Website with AI in Just 1 Hour” brought together over 40 students eager to explore the world of generative AI.

Aaron, who was crowned Global Champion at the 2024 EY Open Science Data Challenge, brought a wealth of experience from internships and projects in digital innovation and AI. But more importantly, he brought a heart to share, on behalf of HA, with the whole HSUHK community, before he graduated. Drawing from real-world experiences, he introduced, all within 60 minutes, beginner-friendly tools and prompt engineering techniques that helped every participant build a fully functional website. His goal was simple but powerful: to show that AI is not just for coders, and that with the right mindset and tools, anyone can create, lead, and innovate.

This workshop was a celebration of HA student initiative, leadership, and the spirit of giving back.
