HA Students Lead with Heart at Graduation Ceremonies 2025

3 – 4 December 2025 (Wednesday – Thursday)

Holding the Mic, Carrying the Torch: HA Students Lead with Heart at Graduation Ceremonies 2025

Two days. Seven ceremonies. Thousands of guests. And through it all, four Honours Academy (HA) students stood at the front, poised, prepared, and present. Charis Kong (HA5), Rene Chan (HA4), JK Li (HA6), and Prelish Gurung (HA6) served as Masters of Ceremony for the entire 2025 HSUHK Graduation Ceremonies, guiding every session with elegance and energy.

What the audience saw was smooth delivery, warm welcomes, and graceful transitions. What didn’t they see? The late-night rehearsals, the last-minute changes, and the long hours spent on their feet, balancing precision with poise. Even while navigating their exam schedules, these four showed up, committed to making the experience meaningful for every graduate and guest.

More than just emcees, they were storytellers and stewards of the occasion. Charis and Rene opened the ceremonies with calm assurance in Sessions 1 to 3, while JK and Prelish brought fresh energy and composure to Sessions 4 to 7. Each of them brought something unique, and together, they carried forward a tradition of HA leadership in action.

Year after year, HA students have stepped up to serve as the voice of graduation. This year’s team not only carried the mic; they carried the torch.

To Charis, Rene, JK, and Prelish: thank you. You showed us what it means to lead, to serve, and to represent the best of HA.
