Honours Academy and Registry Host Crown Institute Delegation: A Week of Cultural and Academic Exchange

The Honours Academy and the Registry of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) welcomed a delegation from the Crown Institute of Studies, New Zealand, for a week of enriching academic and cultural exchange from 4 to 8 August 2024.

On 5 August, HA students, Karen Tsang (2nd cohort) and Isaac Li (3rd cohort), delivered an engaging presentation on campus life and experiential learning at HSUHK. Their insights highlighted the University’s innovative educational approach and vibrant student culture. The Registry, represented by Senior Manager Maggie Ng, also provided an introductory session detailing HSUHK’s academic offerings and institutional strengths.

The itinerary included a guided tour to the Hong Kong Palace Museum and M+, where the delegation, accompanied by Dr Holly Chung, Head of HA, Karen, and Isaac, explored Hong Kong’s rich cultural landscape, having a firsthand experience of the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary art, highlighting Hong Kong’s unique ability to honour its past while embracing modern artistic expressions.

The collaboration between HA and the Registry exemplifies our University’s commitment to fostering global connections. By hosting the Crown Institute delegation, HA demonstrated our dedication to nurturing global citizens and future leaders.

As the visit concluded, both hosts and guests celebrated the exchange of ideas and cultural perspectives, setting the stage for future collaborations and reinforcing HSUHK’s role as a global educational hub.
