HA Student Takes Centre Stage at Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2024

The Honours Academy (HA) is thrilled to celebrate the exceptional participation of Ocean Ng, a member of our HA 3rd cohort, who took center stage as Master of Ceremonies at the prestigious Opening Ceremony of the Japanese Pavilion during the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2024. This special event, hosted by the Japanese Sake Culture Promotion Association in partnership with the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong, marked an important milestone in fostering cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Japan. The event brought together key stakeholders from Hong Kong and Japan’s cultural and business sectors, including representatives from the Dapartment of Social Science at HSUHK, which played a collaborative role in the festival’s organisation.

Ocean’s selection as MC for this prestigious international event exemplifies the caliber of student talent nurtured within HA. Her role involved facilitating the ceremony’s proceedings in multiple languages, demonstrating her professional competencies and cross-cultural communication skills.

We are incredibly proud of Ocean for her stellar performance and for representing HSUHK and HA with such distinction. Her efforts remind us of the transformative opportunities that come from embracing the world beyond the classroom, and she has truly set a powerful example of what it means to be an HA student.

Thank you, Ocean, for your hard work, your leadership, and for being a brilliant ambassador of the Honours Academy. You continue to inspire us all.
