M for Mentor and C for Communicator: HA Students Lead as MCs at HSUHK Graduation Ceremonies 2024

In the joyful and momentous week of early December 2024, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) held two-day graduation ceremonies to honour the achievements of its graduating class.

At the heart of it all stood four remarkable students from the Honours Academy (HA), who served as Masters of Ceremony (MCs) across all seven sessions: Isaac Li from the 3rd cohort, and Rita Chui, Elvin Fang, and Niki Zhao from the 5th cohort. Together, they brought warmth, composure, and eloquence to the stage—guiding each ceremony with grace and confidence.

With every introduction, transition, and closing line, these four HA student leaders helped set the tone for heartfelt celebration and solemn reflection. Guests, faculty, and graduates alike praised their steady presence and professional delivery—qualities that reflected the best of what the HA community stands for.

This cross-cohort collaboration also shone as a beautiful example of mentorship in action. Having served as MC at numerous high-level events, Isaac Li stepped into a guiding role, generously sharing his experience and tips with his juniors. The torch was not only passed—it was shared, uplifted, and used to light new paths.

We are incredibly proud of Isaac, Rita, Elvin, and Niki—not only for their excellent work as MCs, but for the heart, teamwork, and sense of responsibility they brought to the role. Their contribution reminds us that leadership is not only about being seen and heard, but also about lifting others and honouring the moment.

Congratulations to Isaac, Rita, Elvin, and Niki for their remarkable contributions to this milestone university event!
