Charis Kong@HA5 Commands the Stage at SBUS Dean’s Distinguished Speaker Series
When the spotlight hit the stage at the inaugural Dean’s Distinguished Speaker Series hosted by the School of Business (SBUS) on 10 November 2025, Charis Kong stepped up and shined. A Year-3 Global Business Management (GBM) student and proud member of the 5th cohort of the Honours Academy (HA), Charis took on the prestigious role of Master of Ceremonies (MC), captivating a full house of students, faculty, and industry leaders.
Charis is no stranger to the spotlight. A passionate public speaker and a familiar face at HA events, she has consistently stepped forward to host, present, and represent the student voice. Within HA, she’s known not only for her eloquence and stage presence, but for her eagerness to grow and help others shine too. Her role at this University-wide event was a natural extension of her journey, a moment where preparation met opportunity, and she rose with grace and power.
Guiding an event that featured Mr Joe Ngai, Greater China Chairman of McKinsey & Company, Charis brought warmth, clarity, and confidence to the stage.
Her presence reflected the very best of what HA nurtures: young leaders who are already making their mark. And for every student in the audience, she lit a path, showing that leadership does not begin after graduation.
At HA, it starts now.
