When HA Brings the Family Vibe to the Big Stage: Icey’s MC Glow‑Up and a Top‑7 Win for Osman & Wilson

Some competitions are all about big ideas. The best ones are also about the people who carry those ideas, onto the stage, into the room, and straight into everyone’s attention span.

This year’s 11th HSUHK Innovation Project Competition, organised by the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Section, Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), set out to grow a campus culture of creativity while shining a light on real social questions, under the theme “Cultural Challenge in Hong Kong”. And HA helped the day feel like a community.

Icey (HA6): First-time English MC, instantly our secret weapon

Icey (HA6) is already a confident Cantonese MC, but this event marked her English MC debut. And guess what? She delivered with the kind of ease that made the whole competition flow. Her vibrant, engaging, approachable style kept the room energised and connected, turning stage transitions into moments of warmth rather than formality. Coming from the programme of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) herself, Icey’s presence also fits the theme perfectly: culture is how you bring people together.

Osman & Wilson (HA5): Shortlisted Top 7 out of 20+ submissions

A big HA cheer for Osman and Wilson (HA5): their team project was shortlisted in the Top 7 among over 20 submissions. It was a strong, measurable achievement, and a clear sign of the quality and competitiveness HA students bring to campus-wide innovation platforms.

In true HA family spirit: one voice held the stage, and one team pushed an idea into the spotlight, both turning effort into impact.
