No, there is no additional fee for your entire HA education. In fact, you can enroll for the two HA core modules, attend all years’ HA Seminars, and participate in all of our HA’s leadership development programmes for free. Besides, you are eligible for a wide range of HA-exclusive scholarships, subsidies and awards.

  • First, our HA personnel will be with you every single step of your HA journey. You will have a go-to person, namely either our HA Head, or one of our HA Associate Heads, who will regularly keep you companied in group or individual meetings, or social gatherings. This go-to person can help you map out your whole HA education, while taking into consideration your existing engagement in your study programme.
  • The HA also has a whole team of administrative experts to keep you updated on how to fulfill the whole HA curriculum and all possible resources, subsidies, scholarships, and exclusive opportunities for you, our HA Students.

  • You will definitely be standing out from the crowd, if you commit yourself to the whole HA education wholeheartedly.
  • First, you will be equipped with undergraduate research skills (to be obtained in our HA Seminars and HA4001 Senior Research Project) that shall exponentially increase your chance to be admitted to post-graduate studies, especially those research ones like MPhil studies.
  • Your career options will also be widened to include choices like research officers/ assistants, EO, or AO.
  • It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to network with esteemed leaders/ entrepreneurs, make yourself known to your mentor and also your mentor’s network. Your employability will increase accordingly.

  • Your RC application is of guaranteed success up to 2 years.
  • You, as our HA students, are required to live in our Residential College for at least one year, preferably during your year 2 in the University. This way you can fully immerse yourself in a living-learning community, creating for yourself an interdisciplinary experience for your high-achieving HA peers.

  • You bet it is! The HA only admits 20 beginning year-two students each academic year.
  • Other than your first-year cGPA, we know you are more than your scores! Therefore, we will consider your achievements both in and outside the classroom. Selection is also based on your personal statement, your referee’s  recommendation, and your interview performance.

  • If you are accepted to the HA, you will be asked to notify the HA of your decision within one week. At that time you can choose to accept or decline.
  • Once you decide to accept the offer, you will need to make yourself available to participate in our HA Orientation Briefing, Leadership Training Camp and Inauguration Ceremony.
  • You will also be required to sign an undertaking of offer acceptance to show your dedication to finish our three-year HA education.

  • During your three-year HA education, you will be kept in close contact with our HA personnel so that you are always on track, and on the right track, of your HA education, together with your own study programme, so that you will not miss out any of our HA activities. Besides, our careful, personalised mapping and guidance provided will help ensure there is often a second chance for you to catch up, such as our recurring HA core modules and HA Seminars, and our advice on your making good use of your summer semesters.
  • However, if it DOES so happen that you fail to fulfill certain HA-required activities/ curriculum, you may not be eligible for applying our HA-exclusive scholarships or subsidies, or any privileges. The HA also reserves the right to not to grant you the HA graduation credential.

Since the first-year undergraduate experience at the HSUHK is quintessential to the HA, we at this stage do not accept transfer or exchange students.

Your HA admission and HA scholarships continues as long as you meet the minimum academic requirements and remain in good standing with the HA.
