“Gear up for Our Post-Pandemic Future: Opportunities in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area”

The Honours Academy (HA) had the greatest pleasure to invite one of our HA’s Professional Fellows, Dr Allan Zeman, GBM, GBS, JP, and the Chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group, to share with us in our third HA Seminar Series, on 16 February, 2023. With the timely theme, “Gear up for Our Post-Pandemic Future: Opportunities in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area”, the seminar drew around 40 HA students and Academic Fellows to learn from this successful entrepreneur.
Other than a major property owner and developer in town, this entrepreneurial icon has been very much involved in government services as well as community activities. Therefore, the HA is exceptionally honoured to have Dr Zeman join the league of our Professional Fellows, joining hands to nurture the future leaders at the HA. This talk was also hosted and facilitated by two of Dr Zeman’s HA mentees in the second cohort, Sunny Lee and Stephen Cheung.
Having lived in Hong Kong for over 50 years now, Dr Zeman is happy and proud to say that Hong Kong is his home. This was one of the strongest messages Dr Zeman conveyed in this sharing too. From his personal growth, entrepreneurship, to the establishment of an internationally-renowned listed company, Dr Zeman shared his wisdom on how to stay ahead of the curve in the face of adversity. He also encouraged our HA future leaders to appreciate Hong Kong for its convenience and sound judicial system, and most importantly, its irreplaceable position on the international arena. At the same time, Dr Zeman also hoped that our HA students could seize the opportunities abundantly available in Hong Kong and also the Greater Bay Area.
Our HA students also took this golden chance to exchange with Dr Zeman by asking insightful questions and sharing their global visions, heading closer and closer towards the goal of becoming a global citizen.
榮譽學院專業院使盛智文博士主持「創建疫情過後之未來: 香港和大灣區的機遇」講座
榮譽學院舉辦的「學院講座」系列於2023年2月16日邀請了學院專業院使盛智文博士 GBM, GBS, JP 擔任主講嘉賓, 以「創建疫情過後之未來: 香港和大灣區的機遇」為題, 吸引接近四十名學員與及學術院使到場。
居港逾50年，蘭桂坊集團主席盛智文博士一直熱心社會事務，同時身兼多項公職及社會團體要職。榮譽學院有幸邀請到盛博士擔任專業院使, 自2021年用心培育學院學員。講座正正就是由盛博士至今的兩位指導學員主持 (第二屆學員李炫宙和張嘉炫)。
講座上，盛博士從個人成長、創業到建立上市公司的過程分享其在逆境中成功的智慧, 亦鼓勵學院的未來領袖欣賞我們的家: 香港。盛博士讚揚香港這顆東方之珠擁有健全的司法體制, 在國際舞台和大灣區的獨特位置無可取代。同時, 盛博士亦希望學員好好把握在香港與及大灣區的發展機遇, 追隨理想。
榮譽學院學員亦在講座充分發揮國際公民之洞察見解, 向盛博士發問不少發人深省的問題, 盛博士亦一 一用心回應。
