On a Thursday afternoon, a group of HA students eagerly gathered together to brush up their skin care and makeup skills as part of their career preparation.

Aiming to look presentable and professional in different occasions, students attentively listened to Cynthia’s lecture on choosing skincare products, applying makeup techniques and selecting colour choices for work. With a HA student as the model, Cynthia demonstrated some advanced makeup techniques such as shaping the eyebrows, enhancing the facial contours through shades and highlights.

The hands-on practice session was undoubtedly the most anticipated part of the seminar, as all HA students tried to apply the skills learnt on their own faces. While the ladies were excitedly experimenting with stylish mascaras, colourful eye shadows and elegant blushes, the gentlemen were not idling around – they actively tried different makeup products and blemish-concealing techniques to enhance their professional image.

Students happily completed the seminar with enhanced self-understanding and better makeup skills for projecting their professional presence.
