HA Pride in the Spotlight: Isaac Li@HA3 and Para CHENG@HA4 Featured in HSUHK’s “Student Excellence Stories” 

The Office of Vice President (Learning and Student Experience) at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) has launched the first edition of its new “Student Excellence Stories” series, spotlighting not only achievements, but the growth journeys behind them. The Honours Academy (HA) is proud to share that two HA graduates are among the six featured students: Isaac Li from our 3rd cohort and Para Cheng from our 4th.

For the HA family, this recognition is more than a featured profile and video. It is a meaningful affirmation of the role HA students play in the HSUHK community, as role models, builders, and contributors who help shape the culture of the University.

Isaac sets his own rhythm and brings passion into everything he does. With a long-standing commitment to tap dance alongside strong academic achievement, Isaac embodies a unique identity that bridges worlds: art and technology, performance and learning. He is also a connector within HA, bridging our alumni and current cohorts with his energy and presence.

Para represents a different but equally inspiring strength. As a student who stepped into a new language and cultural environment in Hong Kong, he chose to lean in, keep learning, and connect with people. His identity shines through in the way he creates a sense of belonging for others through student activities, mentorship, and community involvement.

What they share is the HA spirit: a belief that achievement means little without contribution. They give back consistently to their departments, their schools, and the University as a whole. Just as importantly, they carry the HA spirit into the wider Hong Kong community and beyond, proving that our HA students’ and graduates’ impact can travel far beyond the classroom.

Excellence is not a label “granted” just because. It is built, quietly and consistently, by people who do the work, do it well, and do it with care, heart, and impact. And Isaac and Para do exactly that: one step at a time, one contribution after another.

Congratulations again, Isaac and Para. Your HA family is truly proud of you, and we know HSUHK is proud, too.
